It does not occur to you that the very success of the book has made its contents cliché. Nor does it register that you are the kind of reader who has contributed to this disastrous “success.”
Multiplication (say in the form of “multiculturalism”) or division (take “factionalization” for instance) are simply reiterations of these basic operations.
